Mulberry is taking a cue from the Comme des Garçons guerilla manual and opening their first pop-up shop!
The brilliantly British accessories cult will be blessing East Hampton, NY for the summer season with their complete collection of men's and women's merch: including their Cutler and Gross sunglasses collab and über recherché t-shirts adorned with Julie Verhoeven's illustrations.
The fleeting boutique will open its doors on 48 Main Street on May 24. Bunny hop on over sooner than later; like all wonderful summer flings they'll be packing ship in early fall... but the firm professes they'd like to remain friends!
Bunny hop to 133 West 25th Street between Sixth & Seventh Avenues (fourth floor) this Wednesday and Thursday to procure pretty pin-tuck dresses (slashed from $895 to $175) and winsome shirtdress (docked from $650 to $125) by the sagaciously cool Sari Gueron.

Sir John Galliano is jetting to the U-S-of-A to collect the André Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award during Savannah College of Art and Design's yearly fashion extravaganza. To prepare the students for what's to come, Monsieur Galliano arranged a photographic exhibition of himself (who else?) with his fanciful chef-d'oeuvres snapped by the likes of Steven Meisel, Ellen von Unwerth, Paolo Roversi, Nick Knight, Peter Lindbergh, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, and Zanna.
In perhaps more pressing news, Galliano will be debuting his Christian Dior cruise collection at Gustavino'stonight in Manhattan before trekking south to Georgia.
The haute-master has been only amorous of American culture, revealing to Women's Wear Daily:
"America is so full of ideas and inspiration that every time I come I discover something new or have some incredible adventure. [The country] constantly inspires me with its attitude as much as all its artifacts and many states — you could spend a lifetime exploring it all! I am really looking forward to seeing the college, meeting the students as much as trying to get a glimpse of the town; I decided to do an exhibition that would give a taste of my world, give them a taste of what they could be getting themselves into.
For the season that is in store now, it was initially inspired by the luxury, optimism and the American dream from 'Madame X' at couture and then the Sixties and that high-octane luxe for ready-to-wear... America has been a very rich source of inspiration for me this season."

UPDATE 05-17-2008 at 04:32 PM:
TANT PIS! Yeah, your bunny couldn't fathom Galliano in Georgia either. In what will no doubt be a mayjah amère déception for the Savannah College of Art and Design students, the Diorlord will no longer be gracing them with his presence.
The sudden rescheduling was announced just hours ago during a press luncheon at SCAD president Paula Wallace’s home. No word as to who will be accepting the André Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award in his honor. Saperlipopette!
The excuse? "He's under the weather."
... in the words of Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers: "REALLY!?!"
Team Chanel and their captain Karl Lagerfeld have conquered the Raleigh Hotel in Miami Beach in preparation for Thursday's Cruise 2009 show. Karlfidants Cat Power [lower right], Diane Kruger, Zoe Kravitz [upper right], and Anna Mouglalis are set to fête the collection.
Toujours aussi débordé? No need to fret: Chanel is dropping a widget on Friday with exclusive show clips, red carpet interviews, and celebrity snapshots. Plus your bunny is willing to bet her camellias that Karl will sharp-wittedly ramble on camera about what decidedly did not influence him this season faster than track star Ali Stephens' mile. Ich liebe Karl!
The brilliant (and adorable) photographer Thomas Giddings is your bunny's current obsession guaranteed to brighten up this dreadfully dreary Monday:
There's a perfect nostalgia to Giddings' work: at once quirky yet consummately poignant. The budding photog boasts such clients as Mulberry, House of Holland, i-D, Meadham Kirchhoff, and British Vogue.
Oh, and how could I not mention that he's Sir Henry Holland's boyfriend? Watch the jovial pair schmooze it up - with the likes of Jonathan Kelsey, Daisy Lowe, and Stuart Vevers - at Mulberry's recent Cutler & Gross "fash bash" below:
No doubt the past few months have been ripe with amazing opportunities and general fabulosity. In early March, bunny amour Mr. Mickey was still à Paris gaga-ing over the fall collections, so mama Kim and sir David sent your bunny friend out west to cover the action. I ended up chilling with Cory and Mark for a good portion of the party, and even got to snap some photos with Mark's huge camera!
The Lady Tigra was so beyond personable and engaging. Perhaps it was way more obvi than I would have hoped, but whatever the reason she easily ascertained that I was a mayjah fan. I'm just happy I forgot my sunglasses - I had the same Marcs on in the morning! Miss Tigra and I partook in a mini-photoshoot on this picturesque Japanese footbridge at the Sunset Marquis taken by the über talented J. Everette Perry. Fun fun fun! In fact, Everette even asked if I'd ever be interested in modeling for him in La La Land! Apparently he was on the qui vive for a little redhead for some editorial spread he's conceptualizing on a beach or something. I'll keep you posted.
- It was truly an honor to meet Arianne Phillips. She just styled the Demi/Scout/Tallulah/Rumer spread in the current Harper's Bazaar.
- LiLo was absolutely glowing!
- The melodious Marnie Herald & co. offered me a phenomenally generous little Diesel "deal".
- Speaking of which, the super sweet and adorable Alessia Rosso and I spoke of art - and our shared passion for Impressionism - and she gave me a pretty dank Diesel sticker. It's currently adorning my MacBook Pro and providing a Cobrasnake/Africa, a Greenpeace, and a Cory Kennedy/Vague 1990 sticker ample company. Merci beaucoup!
- As the lunchipoo quieted down, Kim, David, Jeremy, and your bunny friend sipped coffee (or in Jeremy's case, hot chocolate) and gabbed a bit. So many super secret sensationally mind-blowing projects and collabs are in the works! Desolé... I'm a loyal lapin: no dish here!
David and Kim are soooo excedingly considerate... they gave me a ride back to the Beverly Wilshire when my driver didn't feel like showing. Post-blogging for Papier, I bunny hopped (well, actually I took a pretty sweet Bentley compliments of the Bev Willy) over to Urth Caffé to pick up some vegan goodies.
OMG! Literally the absolute best organic vegan oatmeal raison cookie that I've ever noshed! And the vegan brown rice tempeh sushi? To die for!
Well, sans any actual fish dying.
