Sixteen-year-old Flickr sensation Miss Martha Elizabeth (otherwise known as "Girls Knees") blithely answered your bunny's questions all the way from the jolly U.K.! Mademoiselle Webb -- the prettiest pixie in all of Wonderland -- has an incredible innate sense of style and an unearthly ability to transform her charming self in the most delightful photographs you ever did see. In fact, I would hardly be surprised if she sprinkled fairy dust en route to school or possessed some other secret Matilda-esque powers!
How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style has changed so much... I think I would currently describe it as whimsical and ethereal, with a hint of 'history-made-modern'.
What was your childhood like?
I had a really happy childhood. I always loved going to National Trust Houses -- I still do. They just make my imagination soar! And [of course I have] always loved Disneyland.
If you could live in any era, which would you choose?
It would undoubtably be the 1920's. I think I would have fit in quite perfectly then; though I would defiantely consider the Elizabethan Era or during Marie Antoinette's reign to be quite lovely (on account of their dresses)!
In your photographs you seem to embody the clothing that you are wearing... how do you choose the costumes on a given day?
Whatever currently inspires me, which most recently has been Peter Pan. I think it's because I recently heard the song "Fairy Dance" from the Peter Pan soundtrack and completely fell in love with it. It puts me in a dream world! I love nymphs and flowers as well. I think they may be my summer inspiration!
What makes you laugh uncontrollably?
Apparently when I was small bread sprouts [made me giggle] -- because they wobbled. I'm not sure that they would make me laugh so much now... but they definitely did back then. I remember always laughing uncontrollably while watching Disney's Fantasia when the flowers danced! Now I think I can be a tad bit too serious.
As a chlid were there any films that you were obsessed with... are you still influenced by them?
I loved Bambi and still adore woodland deer; so perhaps that's where that obsession originated.
Who is your favorite photographer - fashion or otherwise?
Ellen Von Unwerth. She makes girly and whimsical simultaneously edgy and quirky, with added sexiness to boot. Images in general really inspire me: I always worry that I stare too much, but it usually means I simply love what I'm looking at!
What are your favorite subjects in school?
Textiles, art, and media: textiles for the dress making aspect; art on account of the drawing and illustration; and media inasmuch as I love making films.
Who are your favorite fashion designers?

Christian Dior, Vivienne Westwood,
Anna Sui,

What do you enjoy to do most in your spare time?
Reading my magazines, browsing the internet for beautiful things, and making [art] to inspire people.
Who is your favorite Lula coverstar?
Either Kirsten Dunst, Karen Elson, or model Siri Tollerød: I cannot decide! I find Lula to be like a magazine [tailored for] me! Everything they feature in it I love... it's very strange!
Which words/phrases do you most frequently (over)use?
I use
obsession and
inspiration far too often!
